What I've Found 2014

What I’ve Found, is a mix media installment that blends the aesthetics of an artifact deriving fresh from the field of an archaeological dig with that of a form that challenges the pristine nature of an art object and it’s value attribution by embodying it’s contradiction (a non-representational object that takes the form of an important monumental object)

This makes it an apt study to further examine how an object with seemingly no previous value before found acquires a particular set of values and meaning almost immediately and instantaneously. What I’ve Found is a piece that embodies this utopian notion of language, and it’s prevailing dominance.
